About the programme
- Discover Travel & Tours brings together a large number of Premier B&Bs situated in popular city and rural locations across the UK
- B&Bs should be rated 3 stars/diamonds to 5 stars/diamonds with en suite rooms for travellers who expect a certain level of comfort and surroundings in properties exuding a special ambience or location appealing to the discerning visitor.
- Every B&B is featured in full colour in the Discover Premier Bed and Breakfast programme directory and on the Discover Travel & Tours websites giving huge international exposure.
- Discover Travel & Tours pays a fixed price per room for accommodation and breakfast.
- Children ages 0-3 are accommodated free of charge when sharing with two adults, but you can make a charge for any meals and services provided. Children aged 4-13 travel on a discounted voucher rate.
- All reservations are made “on request” basis, however an allocation of 1-2 rooms at larger B&Bs in popular locations will significantly increase your level of business.
- With an allocation your property can be featured in our Sign posted Car Tours to direct business to your door.
- Many bookings are made within a few days of arrival so filling your late vacancies.
- Every B&B is also listed on our online reservation system accessed by over 500 tour operators worldwide.
- You may check your advance bookings and payments progress using a dedicated login into the Members Area of our website.
- You can even enter the e-vouchers you have collected from the Discover Travel & Tours guests into your private area of the Members area on the website to activate the fast-track payment procedures.
- Membership agreement is reviewed annually and rates are valid for a year at a time, April to March.
- A membership fee is payable which can be deducted from your first business. Alternatively, a substantial discount will be given if you pay your fee in advance.
- Payments are made every fortnight directly into your bank account.
- Quarterly newsletters are produced to keep you up to date with Discover Travel & Tours’ activities.
- A copy of the directory that is provided to all e-voucher purchasers will be sent to you before April each year.
- Our Worcester office is at your service for enquiries and assistance.
How the programme works
- Travellers purchase from the tour operator via their travel agent or websites, the total number of nights accommodation required, and receive an e-voucher valid for the number of nights required and a full-colour A5 directory showing details and directions to all B&B members.
- Independent travellers generally book up to a few days prior as they travel around the UK and Ireland, referring to their directory. They either use our Dial-a-Bed service or phone the B&B direct to check for availability, quoting their e-voucher number.
- Advance bookings may also be made via our website.
- Once the booking is accepted, the visitors’ e-voucher number is debited for the number of nights stay to guarantee payment to you, so avoiding “no-shows” and last minute cancellations.
